Algérie vue du ciel

Algérie vue du ciel (Algeria seen from the sky)
For the first time ever, a photographer was authorized to fly over all the regions of Algeria, offering completely original images of this huge and enigmatic country - the biggest in North Africa. From the mountains of Kabylia to the Aurès range, from the majestic Sahara to Algiers the White and from the plain of Mitidja to Constantine perched on its rock, this work gives a whole new insight into this country’s rich history and people. Beyond the exceptional beauty of the photographs, this long-awaited book is one of the most important in Yann Arthus Bertrand’s career: he wanted to play a part in reconciling two populations who have Algeria in their hearts.
Jean Daniel, Benjamin Stora and Djamel Souidi agreed to follow him in this adventure, by accompanying their texts with the 230 or so photographs which are contained in this work.
